To defer its complicated to be honest. Its possible but you may need to reapply again with fees imposed. Seek advice from you institutions International Office, but in a nutshell, I do not encourage you to defer your studies as this will affect your visa issuances in future.
If I got you right, you want to postpone your studies to a later semester. From what I understand you will have to apply again, this is one of the biggest challenges. The system will keep these records and in your future application they will be referred to and sometimes raised as queries which complicates the whole process. That’s as far as I understand, hopefully we have people on this forum to assist and correct me if I am wrong. I also faced a similar situation and I was advised by the international officer to register late I.e at least 2 weeks after official registration than to defer to the next semester as I had proposed.
The best is to hear from your IO direct. The obvious is that reapplication will be obvious and you pay for it again. Some say medical results are valid for 90 days from th day of testing so you will require a fresh test again. Just confirm everything with your institution please. GOODLUCK WITH EVERYTHING MY BROTHER

Do you mean it will affect my visa renewal due to the possibility of getting bellow average overall CGPA?

You are right, I have 2 more weeks after official registration but I’m just worried I might miss that too and my whole application crumbles.
