It depends on the country.. Since I am from India it took me four working days…u can also apply for eVISA which will take only 48 hours….but u can only apply for it once your VAL has been approved and ready for download.
I’ve also been getting the same mails. However, I’m certain you won’t be able to do this up until you get to Malaysia so I’ve been ignoring the mails so when I’m able to get my SEV then go to Malaysia, I will submit my passport to my institution.
Good Afternoon EMGS officer!
Thank you so much for your help. I have talked to Immigration department they said I have to book one way ticket only. Now Alhamdulillah tickets are booked from Srinagar to Delhi and then Delhi to KL.
I want to thank you for all the useful information and responses, I appreciate your assistance. Terima Kasih 😇
My bad! It shows here that it was approved on the 30th of June 2018 at 08:39pm, that was why I concluded that it’s been over 4 days without me putting into consideration the time difference between Nigeria and Malaysia.
Thank you EMGS! It was fixed yesterday already. It wasn’t actually accepting my old passport details. Then I added details of my new passport in both places and Alhamdulillah they accepted my form.
Hi Abrar Mir,
Congratulations on the approval of your application. Please note that your eVAL will be available for download within 3 working days from the approval date. If you are from a country that requires a Single Entry Visa (SEV) to enter Malaysia you are required to proceed to the Malaysian Embassy in your home country and apply for the…[Read more]
Thank you so much!
I am from India, and I require SEV, in this regard I want to know if I can apply online for SEV or I have to visit personally to the Malaysian High Commission in Delhi, India?
Waqas sahab, I think I can do it online, my friend I guess got it from online, and its hectic traveling from Kashmir to Delhi in this hot weather. If possible I would do it online In Sha Allah. Btw thank you for your reply 😇
The enrolment is on the 25th of August. I thought it would be possible to meet some on here since most people going to study at Malaysia must go through EMGS before they are able to start studying there.
I hope to start soon. My application for the eVAL was submitted to the Immigration Department of Malaysia yesterday so soon as I get it, I’ll go apply for the SEV. How long did it take you to get your eVAL after it was submitted to the Immigration Department and how long did your SEV take?
Alright. When going to make the SEV application. Do ensure that the Bank Reference Letter of your sponsor is stamped by the bank. And the Bank statement too.
Also, after authenticating your credentials/highest degree and getting the authentication letter at the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja. Do endeavour to proceed to the Federal Ministry…[Read more]
Really, I have to authenticate my credentials? I was told by someone that that is not exactly necessary for a postgraduate student. Perhaps everything has changed. I’ll just do all that. Thank you so much. What other things do you think I would need?
You have to Bro. I am currently here for my Master in Library and Information Science and I authenticated my credentials before submitting the application for the SEV. If you don’t, the application is incomplete and wouldn’t be accepted at VFS. Well, I can as well hint you that the letter of sponsor from your sponsor can be written on a plain A4 paper.
We are more than glad to assist you with your enquiry. However, in order to get all the details of your application, we would need to retrieve your record. To keep your details private and confidential please email us your full name and passport number at enquiry(at)emgs.com.my and we will help you out.
