It takes emgs 7 days at least to review your applications and if it needs correction or extra documents the process can be longer. Its only been 4 days.

In my past experience it took me a month from when EMGS submitted my applications to immigration approved my VAL but this happened in 2016 im not sure about now. I heard they speed up the process to be 14 working days now. So we shall see.

Yes this is main issues also because mostly we take the shots when we were under 1 year old and mostly the certificates were lost already. My parents confirmed i took all the vaccinations but we switched houses few times that the cert all lost. So we have to redo the vaccinations again now after 20 plus years.

Yes there will be overstay charge per day RM 100.

After you obtain your VAL and SEV (Single entry visa) depending on which countries required it if not you can travel to malaysia already with your VAL only

Oh but my university required it they say for malaysia immigration. But anyhow maybe just for formality to show your proficiency in english.
