The movement control order (MCO) is until the 28th of April. Based on your post, your SEV is valid until the 2nd of May. This means you are able to enter Malaysia prior to the expiry of the SEV. Assuming that MCO will end on 28th april, my university requires me to send ticket 7 working days before arrival so they can arrange airport clearance. Tickets are not available until MCO is lifted, can you suggest how could I possibly enter Malaysia before SEV expires?
Another thing is that im not a new student. Im on the last year of my PhD, i was asked to reapply and wait outside of the coutry for VAL as my visa renewal was rejected. Now if i have to apply for another VAL my graduation and future life plans will be delayed because of it.
You can only do the clearance without your institution’s representative if you are enrolling in a public institution. The approval, however, is at the discretion of the Immigration Department officers at the point of entry. We advise that you check with your institution first before travelling to Malaysia.
