Hello. I just submitted the documents needed for my VAL and EMGS number to Monash Malaysia. I got accepted into my course without the requirement of an English proficiency test because I graduated from an international English medium school (australian international school) . The documents for the VAL that monash required didn’t mention an English proficiency test. However, in the EMGS website it says I require an English language certificate to obtain my VAL. If I were to sit for a test now, by the time I book for it and get my results + submit my VAL documents it will be too late as my orientation is on July 16th and I have to be in Malaysia mid June for post medical screening etc. I was wondering if it is absolutely necessary to take an English proficiency test if my English results from School was sufficient? In the unlikely event that I need to take a test, I read up on the PTEA test in Malaysia and was wondering if I can take that while being enrolled at my course in monash? I’m from Bangladesh. Please let me know what I should do because I wasn’t informed that I was required to take an English proficiency test from my agent at IDP as well as monash. Thank you.
