Yes you need the sev anyway, I’m Moroccan too, I asked the embassy here that question, and I got this Email with documents I need to provide to get the sev in 7 working days:

Thank you for your email dated 13 January 2019.

2. The list of documents required for your visa application is as follows:-

2.1 Three (3) recent photographs of applicant (passport size; white background).

2.2 Original & two (2) photocopies of Identity card.

2.3 Original & two (2) photocopies of passport (A4 size). Validity of passport must be more than six (6) months during the travel period

2.4 Original & two (2) photocopies of confirmed airline tickets.(one-way only)

2.5 Original & two (2) photocopies of offer letter from relevant University or College.

2.6 Original & two (2) photocopies of approval letter from Immigration Department of Malaysia.

2.7 Two (2) completed visa application forms (Form IMM47.) The form is available for download at http://www.jimlondon.net/Form_IM.47.pdf

3 Please note that payment for the visa application amounting to MAD 50.00 will have to be made together with the submission.

4 Our Consular section is opened only on Tuesday and Thursday from 09:00 am to 12.00 pm. You are advised to request for appointment for visa application well in advance of your confirmed travel date. For any enquiry or appointment please call ‪#########4‬.
