I have some advice for all the applicants here. Before you apply for the visa, PLEASE read the application guideline thoroughly and understand it. There’s a reason why EMGS posted it. I’ve been reading a lot of the posts here and realised that most of your problems could’ve been solved earlier had you read the guideline properly and followed it strictly. If you want something, then you have to work for it. You can’t expect the EMGS officers to do everything for you ! They can’t speed up your applications just because you ask for it, everything is under the discretion of Malaysian Immigration. EMGS is just here to make dealing with the Immigration easier.

I myself am an international student in Malaysia. My visa application went through very smoothly, without any problems and now I am in Malaysia, waiting for my registration. Why ? Because I actually read the guideline. Multiple times. I read it over and over again because I was so scared of jeopardising this golden opportunity just because I was lazy to read. I did everything as they asked. Down to the tiniest detail. The whole process took me 2 months. This is why EMGS advices you to apply at least 3 months prior to the registration date !! It’s not an easy process that will finish in a week or two. It takes time.

Lastly, seeing all these posts about problems that could’ve easily been solved by reading… I wonder if you guys REALLY want to study in Malaysia.

As always, I am thankful to all EMGS officers for doing their best to help us. I know you guys only want the best for us students 🙂 If I am in your place, I don’t think I would have the patience to deal with some of the students on here haha.
