Hi EMGS, i’m from iraqi kurdistan i have been studying in malaysia, my name is Shwan Farhad hamad with passport number. A4180892, on 9th of OCTOBER i left malaysiai and return to my hometown to renew my passport cuz my passport expires on 15/07/2021 and my visa expires on 21/02/2021 and before i leave malaysia on 9th of OCTOBER I called EMGS if i go back to my country will i be allowed to comeback to malaysia he said if i am willing to be Quarantine for 14 days and pay the costs yes i can come back to malaysia after a week coming back to my home town i renew my passport and my flight was on 14/November but when i apply for travel authorisation i got rejected now what am i suppose to do. I have my new and old passport what should i do regarding my visa i need to transfer my visa on old passport to new passport and request for visa again please help, what will happen to students in 23 banned country now i have to renew my visa b4 FEBRUARY 21st if i couldn’t which it not my fault then who will take the responsibilities for that ? Its been 2 month i’m stuck in my country i left lots of things in malaysia including important things thanks in advance

  Hi Shwan,
  
  Please note that your application has been rejected as Iraq is one of the banned countries. At present, the Immigration Department is allowing students to renew their student pass if the their pass expires from the 01st of February 2020 onwards. However, we will only be able to further advise you on the procedures once there is further instructions pertaining to entry for students from banned countries.

    But my situation i have to transfer Visa first then i can submit for Visa again and if i can’t get Visa whay will happen

      Hi Shwan,
      
      We understand your concern. However, you can only transfer your student pass once you are in Malaysia as the transfer endorsement application can only be submitted through your institution. We will only be able to advise further once we receive an update on the entry for students from the banned countries.
