PETALING JAYA: Students can return to their campuses in stages as early as March 1 next year, says Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad.
The Higher Education Minister said new and existing international students will also be allowed to return starting Jan 1,2021, except for those from the United Kingdom.
For students who are from red zones, Noraini said they will return 10 days prior to allow for the process of separation to take place in ensuring they do not have the Covid-19 virus.
“Student entry in varsities that are located in Sabah and Sarawak will be according to the respective state governments.
“The decision to allow local and international students to return to campuses is to enable hybrid learning, through online mediums and face-to-face teaching and learning,” she said in a statement on Thursday (Dec 31).
Conduct academic activities according to existing standard operating procedures and practise safety according to the new normal, she added.
