• Your VAL has been collected or couriered to your institution.
• You must obtain a Single Entry Visa (SEV) before arriving (if applicable).

Step 5: Obtaining Single Entry Visa (SEV)
• After receiving your VAL from the institution, obtain a Single Entry Visa (if applicable).

• A Special Pass will be stamped in your passport for a stay of 14 to 30 days while you process your student pass. This is at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

• After passing the screening, EMGS will notify your university to submit your passport for Student Pass sticker endorsement.
• In some cases, EMGS will prepare a supporting letter for self-endorsement, allowing the university to proceed with the Student Pass endorsement at the State Immigration office.
• The Student Pass will replace the temporary Special Pass received at the point of entry.
Step 7: Issuance of Student Pass and iKad
• Once your Student Pass is issued, EMGS will provide your student identity card (iKad).
• You will also receive your insurance card if you opted to purchase insurance through EMGS.
