PETALING JAYA: Students can return to their campuses in stages as early as March 1 next year, says Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad.
The Higher Education Minister said new and existing international students will also be allowed to return starting Jan 1,2021, except for those from the United Kingdom.

I feel it’s for general travellers? Because they had specifically released two statements on international students. And even EMGS posted some photo of their head, along with a quote that said welcoming back international students, starting 1st Jan.

The recent announcement, seems to be for tourists and other travellers. Malaysia initially intended to open tourism 2021 onwards. They also gave clarity that UK and South Africa are completely banned. At most, let us wait till 31st December. Why we’re skeptical is the officer of Emgs that is doing clarification on public announcement for the past a week instead of telling us that the work is in process to give update on SOP.

Are the 2020 intake students now considered as existing students too? I enrolled in September 2020. And would like to know if I am now considered an existing student and can travel to Malaysia.
