Dear EMGS,

I am applying Variation Visa as I am changing my course at the same intstitution. Now I am currently at my home country and will travel to Malaysia soon. Am I permitted to enter the country while still waiting for the visa processing?

  No, you have to enter the country with SEV, without it you will enter as a tourist not a student, and can not convert to student pass… That what i got from my experience

  Since you are already in your home country, you are required to remain there until your VAL has been issued. Your application will be rejected if you enter Malaysia on a Social Visa.
