Hello
My brother got an offer letter to study in university of malaya in September intake . Following the statement by the ministry of higer education that there will be no physical classes until 31/12/2020 so online learning only , Does my brother have to come Malaysia in October or he can come whenever physical learning starts ? Also if he doesn’t have to come to Malaysia ,does he need a student pass to start his education or no need . Also does he apply for VAL now or wait until August – September because the VAL has only 6 months validity ??? Thanks in advance

  We advise that you refer to University Malaya for more details about when your brother can come to Malaysia. All international students enrolling to study in Malaysia are required to apply for the Student Pass. Your brother will not be able to commence the online classes without the EMGS approval letter.
  
  Kindly refer to University Malaya to check when your brother can apply for the VAL.
