My VAL was rejected at 40% because my passport had a validity of 13 months. My institution appealed with my new passport and after clearing emgs it is now with the immigration since 8th of September at 50%. Recently, I have mailed emgs regarding this delay? Need advice

You can do it in both ways, from your computer as well as from your mobile.
You need to install emgs application, then at the bottom you will see a tab called profile, click to that and complete the registration. Once you are done, click to my application status for updates.

It means your VAL rejection letter is couriered to your university. Please contact them to know the reason for rejection and appeal accordingly.
