When your university does not respond to the EMGS prompts, your file becomes inactive. Reach out to your university immediately to ask them to respond to EMGS so that your file is reactivated. No, you do not need to apply for a new val. Just ask the university to reactivate the process.

It is usually the university that sends this information to EMGS. As far as I remember, the university would ask you to fill in a form and they reflect that on the system.

This needs attention by the institution. It should have made the payment to emgs. Otherwise, your application with emgs will be stuck. Pick up the phone and talk immediately to your institution.

If your status shows that the documents have been submitted to the immigration department, then allow for around 7 working days.

Single entry visa is the same whether you get it physically from the embassy or online.

The notification requires prompt action by the institution. Follow up on that with them immediately.

There is a problem here. As far as I have seen with colleagues of similar issues, the extension took a very long time! You will need to contact your university immediately to see if they can apply for an extension. If you can make it to Malaysia a few days before the expiry of the eval that is going to be ideal.

So, see a balance between: losing…[Read more]

In my case, I took the photo requirements page from emgs and gave it to the studio to get a compatible photo. It worked this way.

I don’t see personally any problem in you going to Malaysia from anywhere in the world. The issue, however, relates to the visa. If you are asked to get a single entry visa then you can get it only through the embassy at the country you indicated you live in. If, on the other hand, you are exempted from the single entry visa, then I don’t think…[Read more]

Hello colleague. From previous experience seeing posts here, submitting the application to immigration takes around 3 working days. After it is submitted, there is no fixed timeline, usually seven working days, but it is completely at the discretion of the immigration department.

Bottom line: As long as the documents are submitted, you have not…[Read more]

Yes, it is a known issue. It takes some time to synch. Is it 32% yellow or green?

    Hello colleagues

I have been away from the emgs connect for a long time. Now, I am plannig to renew the visa and come back to Malaysia by the end of this year.

Are there any new regulations for travel that I should note?
I understand I can simply book a ticket and come to Penang directly without issues. Is my understanding correct?

    Have a good…[Read more]

    Hello Emgs
I am going to apply for the renewal of my visa. I am a PhD student at USM but now in my country Jordan.

I saw different figures regarding the amount.

The latest that I know is:
    686.40 for insurance
    198.40 for processing fees

How much should I transfer to your account (visa renewal for 2023 + insurance)?

    Thank you!

Not advisable to share your number with a person of whom we know nothing about except that he/she advertised for whstsapp group.

I suggest you do not subscribe to third party groups unless you verify their identities. Saida needs to clarify if he/she is a student and if permission has been taken from emgs to announce for this link. Otherwise, we don’t know where the link will take us. All possibilities are there: could be a good group or a virus or a spam.

Posting links to third party groups is prohibited in this platform, as far as I know. Sadia needs to seek permission from emgs officers.

Besides Sadia, I really could not see any posts from you on ordinary issues, which can be flagged as making you perceived as a spammer.
