Dear EMGS officer, I am Zhan Danxia, my old passport number is E28480040, my new passport number is EL2899644, and my application number is #########. I went to my institution today to consult and said that the new support letter from emgs is only 8 Months are not 12 months. can I know when it starts? For example, does it start from the start date of the new support letter or the expiry date of my old visa? Because the institution said it needs to apply for a new 12-month visa for me, which means I will continue to wait for a new support letter for more than 2 weeks. I have nowhere to live now and am very urgent to get my passport. I hope to get your reply. Thanks!

  Based on our checking, your institution has submitted a request to amend your passport number along with the amendment for the extension sought. However, we are still awaiting approval for this request. Rest assured, we will notify the institution once the amendment is completed.
