@alina_2 Your institution will submit the VAL extension request on your behalf, once the Immigration Department resumes the process of issuing VALs. The approval to extend the VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Please let me know whether they are resuming soon or will it take time.-
@alina_2 We are unable to confirm when the Immigration Department will resume the process of issuing VALs, as the decision is solely at their discretion.
